Before you leave home
- Check the weather conditions
- Pack warm clothing - conditions are likely to be cold and wet
Driving safely
- Leave double the normal distance between your vehicle and the car in front
- Remember that braking takes much longer in icy conditions
- Be patient on the road as traffic may be slow
- Check the details on the electronic sign on Huon Road outside the Council depot
Road Closures
- Road closures are only ever implemented for reasons of public safety
- Please follow the directions of field staff and do not attempt to drive your vehicle past a closed barrier
- Whilst we try and ensure that Pinnacle Road is open at all times, sometimes this is not possible
- Check the Pinnacle Road website to confirm the road is open
