Volunteer Recognition Awards 2008

The Hobart City Council invites all community organisations that operate in the Hobart municipal area to nominate for a Volunteer Recognition Award.

Two volunteers from each nominated community organisation will be invited to a Volunteer Recognition Reception to receive an award on behalf of all volunteers in their organisation.

Volunteer Organisation of 2008: Award for Best Practice

All organisations co-ordinating voluntary work within the Hobart municipal area are also invited to nominate for the Volunteer Organisation of 2008: Award for Best Practice.  This award recognises best practice in the co-ordination, training, support and recognition of volunteers.

Previous winners of this award include Calvary Health Care Tasmania,  the Menzies Centre and the Royal Hobart Hospital Volunteer Service.

Organisations wishing to nominate for this award will be required to address the selection criteria.  A panel comprising representatives of the Hobart City Council and Volunteering Tasmania Inc. will consider the nominations.
