Application Fee

Minimum fee for all applications requiring planning approval

Cost of development up to and including $500,000

$1 for every $1,000 of development cost

$500 + $0.50 for every $1,000
of development cost in excess of $500,000 with a maximum fee of $5,000

Discretionary change of use applications (Section 57 of the Land Use Planning Approvals Act 1993 “LUPAA”)

$200 for applications involving no development or that which would generate less than $200,000 in development costs

Mediations

A fee for the cost of organising mediation in accordance with Section 57A of LUPAA in order to determine a planning application.  This fee would not apply to mediations on illegal uses/unapproved work as the issue of who is responsible for the cost is more problematic.

Consultants

A fee will be charged for planning officers functioning as consultants for other Government bodies or advising outside their statutory and customer services duties.

Subdivision application proposal plans withdrawn prior to their determination

A proportion of the prescribed fees as determined by the Director Development and Environmental Services or the Manager Development Appraisal
