What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is the internet standard for providing content to users when it is updated. Your Web browser or RSS program can check for updates regularly and notify you automatically.

How do I use a RSS feed?

To view a RSS feed you need a Web browser that supports it. Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 7 all support RSS in the browser.  If you don't have one of these Web browsers or you'd like to view the RSS feeds another way there are other options.

NewsGator is a company that makes downloadable computer programs that you can install on your computer and add RSS feeds from all over the internet. They have free products for Windows, Mac OS X and even Microsoft Outlook plug-ins. Visit their website for more information.

If you would like to find out more about RSS and how it works you can view the RSS Wikipedia page.
