The 2008 Hobart Exceptional Customer Service Award nomination period closed 31 July, with an outstanding result of over 4700 nominations received.

The Exceptional Customer Service Awards aim to recognise the efforts of business and individuals who "go the extra mile" to provide quality customer service.
Businesses and individuals who were nominated during July are now in the running to be named Hobart's Exceptional Service Provider in the categories of Retail, Service and Hospitality.
Various steps including mystery shopping are taking place throughout August and September and the winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 2 October 2008.
The winner of the $2000 prize will also be announced at the Awards Ceremony.
