Dog Regisrations for the 2008/2009 financial year are now due.
It is an offence under the Dog Control Act 2000 to not register a dog annually. It is also an offence to conceal, dispose of, or evade registration.
Council officers will be inspecting properties within the Hobart Municipal area for unregistered dogs commencing September 2008. Infringement notices will be issued to those people that do not register their dogs within 7 days following notification.
