Hobart City Council works hard to promote community safety and works closely with Tasmania Police and other agencies in helping to address issues relating to crime and other anti-social behavior throughout the City of Hobart.
An important aspect of community safety is helping to promote a sense of community within suburbs, and creating areas where people can feel secure, such as the waterfront and in the Elizabeth Street Mall. We’re involved in many specific projects to build a sense of community pride.
