Notifiable Diseases
Notifiable diseases are diseases which are of public health significance and are required by law to be reported to the Director of Public Health.
Notifiable diseases cause illness through transmission from an infected person, animal or other reservoir such as food or water to a susceptible host.
Council investigates cases of disease in order to ensure the control and prevention of the spread of disease.

Common infectious agents include:-
- Campylobacter
- Crystosporidium
- Giardia
- Legionella
- Salmonella
