Planning Scheme Boundaries
The municipality of Hobart is covered by three planning schemes; the City of Hobart Planning Scheme (CHPS), the Sullivans Cove Planning Scheme (SCPS) and the Battery Point Planning Scheme (BPPS).
The planning schemes set out policies and requirements for the use, development, protection and conservation of land within the municipality.

The City of Hobart, Sullivans Cove and Battery Point Planning Schemes are also available from the Customer Service Centre at 16 Elizabeth Street in CD and hard copy format.
City of Hobart Planning Scheme 1982
This text version of the City of Hobart Planning Scheme (CHPS) does not include the Heritage Maps and Schedule P - The Springs Local Area Plan, which are available as separate documents.
Please note that the text version of the CHPS is approximately 3mb in size and may take some time to download on a slow connection. The heritage maps document is approximately 4mb and Schedule P is approximately 5.3mb in size.
