There is a separate planning scheme that includes the historic Battery Point area of the City.
It extends over the land east of Sandy Bay Road from Montpellier Retreat to Marieville Esplanade, and takes in the land behind Salamanca Place and then property fronting the Derwent River from the CSIRO car park to the site occupied by the Derwent Sailing Squadron Yacht Club.
