City of Hobart Art Prize 2016

Please note that due to venue availability, the City of Hobart Art Prize will be taking a year off in 2016.  We will be taking this opportunity to review how we deliver the City of Hobart Art Prize and how we can best support visual artists within our community.

In addition to reviewing our annual Art Prize in 2016, the City will also be presenting TOWN HALL 150 Hobart Design Award.  Open to Tasmanian Designers, this one-off event will seek to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the City's Town Hall through design.

Expressions of Interest will be sought from Tasmanian Designers in July 2016, with an accompanying exhibition to be held at the University of Tasmania's Plimsoll Gallery in December 2016.

Further information on this event will be available on the City's website in July 2016.
