Future Opportunities - have your say.
After 27 years The City of Hobart Art Prize is undergoing a review. We are undertaking community consultation about the future of the City of Hobart Art Prize and want to hear your vision for how the City can use its arts funding to best support Hobart’s arts communities. Please respond to our survey, the results of the which will be presented at a Creative Hobart Forum in the Town Hall in October. We welcome all members of the art industry and the wider community to come hear the results and be part of the discussion.

The City of Hobart Art Prize 2016
Please note that due to venue availability, the City of Hobart Art Prize will be taking a year off in 2016. We will be taking this opportunity to review how we deliver the City of Hobart Art Prize and how we can best support visual artists within our community.
In addition to reviewing our annual Art Prize in 2016, the City will also be presenting TOWN HALL 150 Hobart Design Award. Open to Tasmanian Designers, this one-off event will seek to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the City's Town Hall through design.
Expressions of Interest were sought from Tasmanian Designers in July 2016, with an accompanying exhibition to be held at the University of Tasmania's Plimsoll Gallery in December 2016.
