The Council seeks to facilitate, support and develop a range of programs and activities which support and enhance the cultural life of Hobart.
These activities include the Carnegie Gallery exhibition program, the City of Hobart Art Prize and the Council's Public Art Program.
The Council also provides in-kind and financial assistance to arts and cultural projects, events and festivals through its Cultural and Events and Festival Grants Programs.
